Frequently asked questions

Is telemedicine legal in Greece?
Yes. Telemedicine is expressly provided for by article 66 of Greek law 5129/2024 (Government Gazette Α' 124/01.08.2024), which amended the Code of Medical Ethics (law 3418/2005) to permit medical acts and patient examination through digital applications. Every DocNow doctor is registered with their local Medical Association.
What does the consultation cover?
The €20 fee covers a medical assessment by a licensed doctor, regardless of outcome. The consultation lasts 15 minutes; the doctor answers your questions, gives you guidance and, where needed, refers you for tests or to a specialist.
What if I need tests or a specialist?
The doctor can issue a referral for lab tests or a specialist visit — privately, or through your public insurance.
Is it covered by insurance?
At the moment, consultations are paid privately. You can submit your DocNow consultation receipt to your insurance provider to claim reimbursement, depending on your policy.
How secure is my data?
All calls and medical data are encrypted. We comply with GDPR and Greek law 4624/2019 (Government Gazette Α' 137/2019). We never share your information with third parties.
Can I use it for my child?
Yes. Parents can book consultations for minors in their family. The child must be present during the consultation, together with the parent or guardian. The doctor will confirm the child's details at the start.
