What a same-day appointment means here
You open the app, look at the doctors currently available and pick a time. If there is an opening today, you take it. Availability varies by hour and by day and is shown in the app at the moment you choose, so what you see is what is actually free.
There is no waiting room, no referral needed and no registration with a practice beforehand.
Why people book one
Most same-day bookings are for something that started recently and is uncomfortable enough to want an answer about. A sore throat that is getting worse, a urinary infection, a rash that appeared overnight, a child with a fever.
Others book because the timing is impossible otherwise — you are working, travelling, on an island, or the local practice has closed for the afternoon.

When you need in-person care
A same-day video consultation does not replace emergency care. If you experience severe chest pain, difficulty breathing, loss of consciousness, heavy bleeding, sudden weakness or difficulty speaking, call 112 immediately, or 166 for an ambulance in Greece.
A doctor also cannot examine you by hand or arrange tests over video. Where that is what your situation needs, they will tell you and explain where to go.
